Holidays in the Village

Latest Update 2015: Technology guide for Agde visitors – connecting to the internet and watching foreign TV. New visitors guide to Cap.

Cap d’Agde, France, is just a few miles from Montpellier, the resort is an enclosed self-contained village, where anyone who enjoys this lifestyle can enjoy a vacation or holiday and everything including going to the bank, post office, restaurants, launderette or for a walk along the mile long beach, as nature intended.

The population of Cap d’Agde naturists resort is up to as many as 50,000 at any one time. This resort is a great location and destination aside from its unique theme, in that the beach itself and the great weather this region gets in the summer months, makes this an excellent are to visit.

Cap d’Agde is also close to many other wonderful French destinations to which you can also travel. The port city of Sete offers some great sea-food and quaint views; or travel to the medieval city of Carcassonne to the west. Only a five-hour TGV train ride and you can also find yourself in Paris, France and visit the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower. A couple of hours south west from Agde and you will find yourself in Barcelona, Spain.

Few places in the world are as unique as Cap d’Agde and this certainly is considered one of the best resorts of its type in the world, for sunbathing in the buff. Few places in Europe or the world take the natural body as seriously, or offer such a vast community of like minded people.

2015 Summer Bookings

Many people are already planning their summer of 2014 stay in the resort bookings are expected to be more popular than ever for 2015 with visitor numbers building year on year. We strongly advise to book as soon as you can. You might want to stay in the village just for a weekend and combine your visit with a stay in a city such as Montpellier or Paris, or you can stay for a week or month.

Paris is a great place to fly into for many visitors from distant locations such as from North America and Ausralia (you can then get a connecting flight, drive or get the high-speed train down to Agde). If travelling to Le Cap d’Agde from the UK, you can also fly into Beziers, Montpellier, Toulouse and a few other local airports. If you are planning to travel by train via Paris, the SNCF (the main railway network in France) takes roughly 3 hours to Agde train station. Then it’s a short bus or taxi ride to the village. You can also and look for hotels in Le Cap d’Agde outside the resort if you want to stay in the main town itself. More on Paris.
