What is Port Nature in Cap d’Agde?
The ‘Port Nature’ building is a long building that runs from the beach and is several hundred meters long, and runs down the width of the naturist resort.
The building houses hundreds of apartments, restaurants, bars, and shops, and is one of the main buildings in the resort.
If you are wondering how to recognize this main building, from a distance, you will notice that the building has actually been designed to replicate a long cruise boat.
Although dated looking now, I always find the building shape quite interesting, and if you get the right apartment, you can sometimes get a wonderful view of the coastline as you eat breakfast on your veranda every morning.
Port Nature Location & Considerations
According to which part of Port Nature your apartment is in, you might find yourself close to the nightlife noise, although things do normally die down at 2 am.
If you like an early night’s sleep and peace, then make sure you have an apartment on the quieter side of the building, or instead consider the campsite or one of the hotels, such as Oz Inn Hotel, perhaps.
Port Nature is many ways is an iconic part of the naturist village, given its size and the fact that it is a building in which you will find yourself endless times during your stay.
Port Nature Facilities
As touched on above, there are numerous bars, restaurants, and shops on both ends of the Port Nature building. Some of the best include:

- Le Bistrot restaurant – a decent place to eat, from our experiences.
- Eros Cafe bar (a good place to drink)
Port Nature Features
Some other features of the Port Nature building:
- The building on higher levels on the outside has a walkway, and this means that it is sometimes quite easy to meet other people staying in other apartments. Sit outside your apartment and you can often easily get chatting to other people.
- The walkway also means it is potentially easier for thieves. if you are leaving the apartment to go to the beach, for a drink, or to go shopping, make sure to fully lock your apartment.
- From any part of the building, you are within a 5-minute walk to the beach area.
- Some of the apartments are quite old, and the truth is that accommodation is not really the high point of a visit to this resort. If you really want high-end accommodation, you might have to pay a lot more and stay in a hotel such as Hotel Oz or Natureva Spa hotel.
- The apartments tend to be suitable for 2 to 6 people, and prices vary greatly.
- Shops housed at different ends of the building include a pizzeria, a supermarket, approximately 20 clothing shops, an ice cream shop, and several restaurants.
