What is the Best Time to Visit Cap d’Agde Nudist Village?

The best time to visit Agde is between the months of May and September, with the peak of the season being July and August.

A lot of families visit the resort during the school break in July and August.

July and August are also the hottest months usually and also the most expensive for staying at the resort.

Between October and April, the resort is almost empty.

Early September in Agde is popular with a certain number of people given that the weather still tends to be very good, everything is normally still open (up until around the 15th of September) and many families have by this time left.

Does the Resort Have A Special Entrance i.e. Is it an Enclosed resort?

Is the resort enclosed is a common question. Yes, the resort has a main gate and you need to sign in at the main resort office to enter.

Within the resort, the campsite area also requires ID at the gate.

If you are staying at the campsite you will be given a colored wristband when you check-in.

You can leave the resort i.e. if you want to do a day trip to the local town or the main Port of Agde marina (as opposed to the small marina in the naturist resort).

Make sure though that you have proof that you have paid for entrance to the resort to show the front entrance office for when you try to get back into the resort.

Do I Need to Bring any Clothes?

The answer is reality is yes because even in the peak summer months, it can still get a little cold in the evenings so bring some clothes.

In the evening’s many people also dress up for when they go to the bars. (Make sure to read our page on what to wear at Agde).

There might also be the odd day when it does rain or is cooler and you might want to do a day trip out of the resort although you could use the clothes which you arrived with.

Is the Night-Life Any Good?

Many people visit the resort for the nightlife because, with several nightclubs, bars, restaurants, and saunas within the enclosed resort, it is quite popular.

Who and What Types of People Visit Cap d’Agde?

What type of people visit Agde naturist resort is another common question.

The answer to this question really is all types.

Geographically from France, UK, Germany, Italy and many other parts of Europe, as well worldwide including the USA and Canada.

In terms of the age range, you will see all ages. In recent years we have seen a large increase in visitors from Russia and the surrounding area.

Is Agde nice? Is there anything nearby?

The town of ‘Agde’ itself is a cute fishing village and there are many vineyards nearby and further, along the French south coast, there is the French Riviera.

The town of Agde itself has an excellent town market, a marina which is well worth seeing and there is a nearby water park and also a tennis center.

It is worth using one day to explore Agde, rather than just the ‘Cape’ or Cap’ as it is known. ‘Cape’ is at the tip of Agde.

Is there a Hotel in the Resort?

There are a couple of hotels in the resort and these include Hotel Eve, Natureva Spa, and Jardin Eden.

Traditionally, Hotel Eve was the only hotel but in recent years, 4 other hotels have been built.

The other main hotel is the Oz Inn Hotel.

What is the Currency in France

Euros is the currency in France and the currency which you will need to use.

Credit cards are widely accepted in the resort and there are several ATM (cash point) machines.

Do make sure though to have Euros if you will be using a taxi from one of the airports.
