Travel
France - Paris, Bordeaux, Monte Carlo
and the Alps.
If travelling to Cap d'Agde, especially
if from a distant place, it is well worth also making
the effort to see some other parts of the beautiful
country. Some ideas are below:
Beaches
- Monte Carlo and Nice
Wine - Bordeaux
Culture - Paris

French
Beaches - Beyond Cap d'Agde
France has many beautiful beaches,
and the French Riviera (Cote d'Azur)
has world famous beaches including
St.Tropez, Monaco and Monte
Carlo. From Cap d'Agde you can easily
use the train network SNCF.
The great thing now is that Easycruise
have now started a cruise line in
this area and prices are very cheap.
Prices from around £60 GBP
for a cabin per night. Check the
Easycruise
website for exact prices.
In Cannes the beach
is divided into 32 different sections,
with some of these beaches privately
run, whilst the rest are for the
general public. One of the best
beaches is the beach in front of
the Palais des Festivals.

WINE
AND VINEYARDS IN BORDEAUX
French wine is some of the best
in the world and the region of Bordeaux
is certainly within driving distance
of Cap d'Agde (although not on a
day trip). Bordeaux
is actually the biggest wine region
in the world with
approx 13,000 wine growers. Some
of the wines grown here include
Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc,
Merlot and Malbec.
Why not visit and
stay in Bordeaux for a few days
and enjoy visiting one or two of
the many vineyards. Even better
visit at the end of June or beginning
of July and attend the '
Bordeaux Wine Festival'.

You can actually fly from
Beziers
Airport, very close
to Cap d'Agde, straight
to and from Paris. Just
as easy, you can catch the
train from Agde station
straight to Paris on the
express train.
Cap d'Agde is a great place
for clothing-optional, but not a
great place for trying out
French cuisine and real
French culture. Paris also
has some fantastic sites
such as the Eiffel Tower
and Arc de Triomphe and
for the ladies, this city
is a great place for shopping.
For many people visiting
Cap d'Agde, Paris is often
useful anyway because if
is a good place from which
to fly into France, if arriving
from places such as Canada,
Australia and USA.
