To really get the most of your stay in the resort at Cap d’Agde, there are many things that you should try and several of which you might easily have missed out on being aware of, on your previous visits.

Quirky bucket list

Or you might be new to the resort and looking for tips on what to see and do.

No matter how many times you have visited the village, there are 9 things I recommend to try and do on your next visit to the naturist resort.

Attend a Bubbles Party (Foam Party)

For the first three years of visiting the village, my wife and I would always see the promotional airplanes in the sky pulling the banners advertising the foam parties (also known to some as bubbles parties) as we laid on the beach.

We did not think the parties would be worth visiting but decided to visit one anyway in year four.

The parties are fantastic!

From around 2 pm through to 7 pm, these open-air parties take place on the outside of Le Glamour.

The parties take place on weekends off-season and then most days in July and August (subject to change though according to the weather).

The entrance cost is roughly Euros 30 for a couple and the only rules are that you must be a couple to enter (i.e. a man and a woman) and you cannot wear any clothes except for sandals inside.

There is a bar inside, a huge hot tub-style pool, many areas to relax, and a disco area onto which the foam drops every 5 minutes or so. You must try one of these parties!

Eat Pizza in Le Ghymnos

Heading to the resort for a good pizza is not the first thing probably on your mind but Le Ghymnos have a proper Italian-style wood oven and the pizzas are up to the standard you would expect in Naples.

The restaurant gets very busy in the peak of summer and on weekends, and it is not hard to see why.

The food is great here and this is the best place to eat in the resort.

Pitcher of Wine on 02 Bizoux Bar Terrace

There are many very good bars in the resort but what I like about 02 Bizoux (previously Jonny Wokkers bar) is the terrace and the chance to sit in the sun and enjoy being able to see the beach, whilst enjoying a decent pint of beer or a nice pitcher of red wine with my wife.

The terrace is a great place to head to for a drink at the end of the afternoon.

In the peak of winter in the UK, thinking about sitting on the Wokkers terrace with a view of the ocean in the summer months, keeps us looking forward to each following summer.

Daily Full Beach Walk

Walking the full length of the naturist beach for the average walker takes something like a quarter of an hour at a leisurely pace so let us say half an hour both ways.

The half an hour walk once or twice a day with the views you also get to see on the way, make for a wonderful way to keep fit and to relax.

Some people choose to jog the beach in the early morning and the hard sand by the shore and this can be great for building the calves.

Le Glamour Nightclub, Cap d’Agde

One of the top nightclubs in the resort and a club that attracts not only those staying in the resort but locals is Le Glamour.

This club gets very busy on Friday and Saturday evenings both in season and out of season. I personally prefer to go to outside of Le Glamour for the bubbles parties in the daytime, but many visitors to the resort have a great time visiting this club in the evenings.

Inside the club, it is quite sizeable and this is the largest club in the resort.

Downstairs there are several play areas, whilst upstairs there is a dance-floor and bar areas.

Beware that the dress code can be quite strict i.e. men must wear proper shoes for example.

Boules like the French

A very popular game among French visitors to the campsite area is ‘boules‘.

It’s a game played by throwing several heavy silver balls towards a target on the ground.

There are a couple of special boules courts between the campsite and the beach which are for the use of any of you staying in the campsite.

There is also, by the way, an outdoor gym area and table tennis tables (which again, are for those staying in the camping area) close to the boules area.

You can buy a boules set from the stores inside the resort. There is also a Decathlon store in nearby Beziers if you want to buy a decent boules set.

Served Food and Drink on the Beach

Depending on your budget for the trip, you have the option to rent a sun-lounger in one of the areas of the beach

where sun-lounger rentals are available.

Prices tend to be roughly 25 Euros for 2 people for one day, although if you are staying for a week or more, then you can try and negotiate.

Your best option though is by trying to use a few words of French if you want to get a better price. In these sun-chair rental areas, you can also order food and drinks including alcoholic drinks, coffees, snacks, and meals.

Saunas and Hammams

There are two good saunas situated in the Port Ambonne building, by the shopping center.

These saunas have hot tubs, a bar, and a relaxation area.

The two saunas are next to each other and one is for couples only and the other for anyone.

Only couples can access both saunas. One tip is to buy a bottle of liquor and you can get the bar staff to put your name on the bottle and you can avoid buying any more if you visit the sauna again.

Hotel Eve

Hotel Eve is the original hotel that is still on the site but has now been joined by Natureva Spa, Jardin Eden, and Riad hotels in the resort.

I still like to stay in Hotel Eve from time to time given that it has very nice pool areas of its own and given that this hotel is on one end of the resort.

This gives you the chance to enjoy a quieter area of the resort in which to be based (as opposed to staying in the Port Nature building above the clubs for example).
