Gay travelers and tourism: Cap d'Agde
We get many emails from gay travelers asking us if Cap d'Agde is suitable for gay visitors. Do gay naturists tend to visit Cap d'Agde?
Absolutely. Gay naturists and tourism accounts for probably 10-20% of the visitors to Cap d'Agde and gay naturists, straight naturists and naturist families live together on this large resort. Families tend to stay in the enclosed area, gay and single visitors tend more often, to stay in the accommodation blocks or hotel. There are many gay and single men who visit the resort, whilst the number of gay women is far less.
Are there any specific areas in the nudist and naturists resort at Cap?
On the beach, there is unofficially an area which gay naturists tend to use. This area is located on the right side of the beach
(if you have your back to the sea). The young and couples crowd tend to 
sit fairly centrally on he beach whilst families tend often to sit on the left side of the beach.
In terms of nightclubs and bars, there are several places where you may find other gay visitors. Some popular places for gay nudists include:
- Le Look Bar in the Port Nature block is a gay bar and tends to be quite popular.
- Similarly, Le Eros Cafe is also a gay bar in Port Nature area 5.
- Le Palme Rei night club is popular with gay visitors.
- Le Pharaon club can also be a popular hangout.
Is there a place I can get in touch with other gay men and women who like to visit Cap d'Agde?

Are there any places in Agde itself, which are Gay friendly?
The Hotel La Bergerie du Cap which is fairly close to the naturism resort is gay friendly. Also a good place, Villa Littoral is a Gay Guesthouse in Agde is 10 minutes drive from the naturist resort and the guesthouse is quite stylish and a great place to stay for gay visitors to the area.
Gay Saunas in Agde (Outside the resort)
There is a gay Suana opened last year in the main port of Cap D'Agde. Its is very nice and very modern - for gay men. It is at the back of a disco complex by the same name called Le Preambule52, rue de la GabelleCentre Port Cap D'Agde Phone: 04 67 93 75 24.
