The beach at Cap d‟Agde is as good as any beach I have come across in France or Spain thus visiting the resort for the beach alone, is worthwhile.

Cap d'Agde nudist beach

With a mile plus long sandy and wide beach, this is an excellent location.

Facilities

  • Sunbed hire and rentals
  • Parasol rental
  • Mile-long beach
  • Beach bars (such as Paralia Beach Bar)
  • Volleyball court on the sand
  • In the resort shops, you can buy sun loungers and chairs if you wish. Also daily newspapers including English and German dailies (great for reading on the beach in the sun). Also suntan lotion and creams are available in the resort shops.

Areas of the Beach

You can sit and enjoy any part of the naturist beach. Having said that, there tends to be a general trend in what areas of the beach different groups tend to use.

Looking out to sea, the right end of the beach tends to attract mostly families, the far left of the beach tends to attract a large number of gay sunbathers and the central part tends to attract the younger and more lively couples.

Beach Etiquette

Some basic rules that you might want to consider on the nudist beach here in cap d’Agde:

Photography

You should not take photographs of other people on the beach. You do so at your own risk.

Inevitably, with the rise in use of cameras on mobile phones and cell phones, some people do take pictures.

Taking pictures of yourself and your partner is fine but you should not photograph other naked people on the beach.

Dress Code on the Beach

You are meant to be nude if you go onto the naturist beach, understandably.

Expect to be jeered at if you are wearing clothes and walk past the couples’ beach area in that people try to push the naturist and naked nature of the resort. This is a naturist resort after all.

Walking to and from the beach, people do often wear clothing such as a sarong but you really DO NOT need to and I am not sure why people feel the need to wear anything here at all!

Extra Beach Facts

Couples Beach (Swingers Beach)

The resort is popular with a range of people and that is part of its beauty in that it is a melting pot of interest groups.

Swingers who attend the resort, tend to populate the quarter of the beach to the left of the middle of the beach (as you look seaward).

Mistral Winds

One issue you might need to consider is that it can sometimes get windy.

An extra benefit of a sun lounger means you can turn it on its side to protect you from sand blowing in the wind if need be.

The 7-Day Challenge and the Beach Walk

The beach walk is included in the 7-day challenge. You can download the FREE 2 pages printable file by clicking on the banner below.

  • Very popular with a lot of couples is the long walk up and back the full length of the naturist beach. A great way to people watch and to get some exercise whilst on holiday.

Using the Beach to Keep Fit

If you want to keep fit whilst on holiday, why not combine being in this truly unique resort with a daily 1 mile each way stroll along the sandy beach.

Or go jogging! There are also gym and other fitness facilities available in the resort (learn more).
