5 Places for Naturism in Germany
The Germans are very enthusiastic about naturism and as a result there are a number of campsites set up across the country that cater exclusively to naturists. Freikörperkultu, is the German word for naturism, and every naturist beach and resort features the letters FKK, to indicate that nudism is encouraged there. Here are the top places in the country for naturists.
1. Sylt – Sylt is an island that is located at the northernmost end of Germany that is well known for its glorious climate and beaches. Most of the beaches on the island of Sylt are clothing optional beaches; this region is also home to the first naturist beach in the country.
2. FKK Camping Hilsbachtal – This naturist camp site is located in the Baden-Württemberg region of Germany. It is a very famous destination for naturists and is over 200 metres above sea level. The campsite is open to visitors from April till October.
3. Waldteichfreunde Moritzburg – This campsite has stunning views and is based in a picturesque location. The main attraction for naturists is the tent area, which is situated right next to the lake and is dedicated only to nudists.
4. Borkum – This little island is just off the coast of Germany in the North Sea. The island is famous for its long naturist beach that offers a number of facilities. There is also a nature reservation that is dedicated to FKK or free body culture in this area.
5. FKK-Camping Am Useriner See – Located beside a lake in the Mecklenberg-West Pomerania region of Germany, this naturist campsite is very popular among visitors.
